Ok I'm sure the name lasagna lips has got you a bit curiouse no?? ok well I'll explain...it's a lil trick I learned in school(I go to a beauty academy). Basically it's a way of applying your lipstick so that it wont rub off or fade out!! It works with ANY lipstick so you wont ever have to rely on those special types that end up drying your lips out soo bad.
Ok here's what you do...
1. Line your lips with a liner that is just a tad darker than your lipstick color. This helps make your lips look fuller & it helps keep your lip color right where you want it
2. powder your lips with a powder foundation 3. apply your lipstick
4. blot your lips untill there is NO color coming off on the tissue (don't rub just pat kinda hard, but don't hurt yourself lol) 5. repeat steps 2 - 4 at least two more times
6. apply one last dusting of powder & then finish with a little bit of gloss (remember too much gloss wil make the lipstick wet & it WILL come off
Why does this work??
It works because the powder is absorbing & holding your lip color in place. And by blotting you are actually creating a temporary "lip stain".
Why is it called "lasagna lips"??
It's called lasagna lips because you are layering your lip color, like the layers in lasagna. Also you can eat things like lasagna with out your lip color fading or coming completely off!!
